CEFI (Center for Family and Individual Studies) has a long tradition of more than 35 years, being one of the pioneering institutions in this training in Rio Grande do Sul and Brazil. The course is recognized by the MEC, the CRP (Regional Psychology Council) and ABRATEF (Brazilian Family Therapy Association).
The teaching staff is highly qualified and has extensive clinical experience, thus offering a tripod of learning: robust and deep theoretical knowledge, integrated into clinical practice with live supervision, in a one-way mirror and complemented by self-work, so fundamental for the preparation of being a systemic therapist. The course is aimed at psychologists, doctors/psychiatrists and social workers.
In addition, theoretical pluralism regarding systemic theory enables dialogue with other theories and psychotherapeutic approaches in a collaborative and integrative perspective. Systemic theory is applied to help deal with personal and professional conflicts and in the treatment of numerous mental disorders.
The CEFI/FACEFI Course is structured in a format that contemplates individual, family and couple systemic therapy, and covers current and important dynamic aspects so that the professional forms a reflective, conscious and open stance towards therapeutic intervention.
